Kibar Holding has taken another significant step as part of its 2025 Sustainability Strategy by launching the K-STAR Program.

Kibar Holding continues to implement innovative projects under its 2025 Sustainability Strategy. The K-STAR Program, a first in its field, will involve the Group’s broad ecosystem of over 5,000 stakeholders from around the world as partners in sustainability. The program will manage all procurement activities in alignment with sustainability principles from a single center. Stakeholders will undergo training and seminars based on surveys specially designed for them.

Sustainability Survey and Regular Monitoring Mechanism

According to the statement, the program will design sustainability surveys for large-scale business partners and the SME network of Kibar Holding in over 100 countries, assessing their capabilities and positions from the perspectives of sector, geography, and industry. Action plans and phased programs containing the necessary steps and goals to support them on their sustainability journey will be developed using the collected data. The planning and implementation of training and webinars, as well as the establishment of regular monitoring mechanisms to achieve the set goals, will be carried out. Finally, the Group’s procurement decision criteria and processes will be reviewed to align with sustainability expectations, with necessary changes made where required.

Gonca Batur, Vice President of Procurement at Kibar Holding, emphasized that they view the global transformation in sustainability as a threshold to be overcome through business initiatives. She stated, "As one of Turkey’s leading industrial organizations, we aim to support our responsibilities toward customers and institutions within the framework of our group’s sustainability strategies and review procurement policies and practices based on defined criteria. In this regard, with the launch of the K-STAR Kibar Group Supplier Sustainability Program, we aim to evaluate, guide, and monitor the ecosystem of over 5,000 suppliers, from SMEs to global giants, to create a supplier portfolio that guarantees a sustainable procurement structure."
